The Career Studies (GLC2O) course is designed to prepare you for your future by helping you develop and achieve your personal goals in education and your eventual career path. The course will cover a broad variety of career-related topics, including self-assessment, job searches, understanding the workplace and post-secondary research. The ultimate goal of the course is to help you develop a clearer picture of your potential future and how you'll get there.

CLASS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Much of the course focuses on the use of computers. All students are expected to abide by the WRDSB acceptable use policy. Use of sites such as Facebook, etc. are not permitted without your instructor's permission.
Students will arrive on time and prepared to work each day. You are expected to conform to school policies regarding attendance, etc.
Food/drink not permitted in computer labs/near equipment.
Cell phones, MP3 players, etc. will be turned off and kept away during class unless expressly permitted by instructor (as per Bluevale school policy).
Late projects/assignments are subject to 5% per day penalty to a maximum of 15%. Once assignments have been marked and returned, a late assignment will receive a mark of zero.
Plagiarism of any sort will not be tolerated in this course. Please refer to the BCI handbook for further details regarding our plagiarism policies.
Students are expected to visit this site on a regular (daily) basis to get course updates, assignments and important information.
Students are responsible for missed work/assignments when absent from class. Invalid absences on assignment due dates or testing dates may result in a mark of zero.
